  1. 1. GST compensation cess for June 2022 totalling `16,982cr to the states will be cleared, says the Finance Minister.
  2. 2. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) council Saturday provided relief to the washeries by extending the exemption from compensation cess on coal rejects both supplied to and by these in order to avoid double taxation, sources said.
