A division bench of the Orissa High Court in Cuttack has restrained the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) from collecting holding tax at an enhanced rate.The division bench comprised of Chief Justice S Muralidhar and Justice Murahari Sri Raman. Earlier in April 2021 the Orissa High Court had restrained BMC from collecting enhanced holding tax till the amendment of the Orissa Municipal Corporation (OMC) Act, 2003.
