  1. President Droupadi Murmu to confer Padma Awards for year 2023 in Civil Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 22. Total 106 Padma awards that were announced, six are Padma Vibhushan, nine are Padma Bhushan and 91 are Padma Shri. Nineteen of the awardees are women.

  14. Tamil Nadu government in its budget has announced that a new wildlife sanctuary called 'Thanthai Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary' will be formed in Erode district. It will be the 18th such sanctuary in the state.

Rajasthan Assembly has passed the Right to Health Bill, which gives people right to avail emergency treatment at all healthcare facilities in state without prepayment, amid protests by private doctors. The bill states that healthcare providers shall not delay treatment in medico-legal cases to wait for police clearance.
