  1.  Governor and Chancellor of Odisha universities Ganeshi Lal has appointed Sabita Pradhan as the first Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Odia University at Satyabadi in Puri. Pradhan, currently working as a professor of Odia at Visva Bharati University in Shantiniketan, has been appointed as the VC of the university for a period of two years.

  2. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Friday inaugurated Odisha’s first natural gas-based crematorium in the state capital. The project, undertaken by Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is aimed at reducing air pollution.
