  1.  International Day to Protect Education from Attack is observed on 9 September. The day aims to  highlight the importance of safeguarding schools as places of protection and safety for students  and educators. 
  2.  The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided that in order to curb fake, sub-standard and expired drugs, the drug names and expiry date will also be written in Hindi/Regional languagealong with English.
  3.  India and Japan have signed an agreement concerning Reciprocal Provision of Supplies and Services between the Armed Forces of India and the Self-Defense Forces of Japan. 
  4.  Former Lok Sabha MP and Bollywood actor, Paresh Rawal have been appointed as the new Chairman of National School of Drama by President Ram Nath Kovind
  5.    The country’s second and South India’s first “Kisan Train” was flagged off from Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh to Adarsh Nagar Railway Station in Delhi. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy & Union Minister for Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar flagged off the train  via a video link.  
  6.  Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, has launched the Aatmanirbhar Bharat ARISE-Atal  New India Challenges to spur applied research and innovation in Indian MSMEs and start-ups. 
  7.  Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched two nutrition schemes ‘YSR Sampoorna Poshana’ and ‘YSR Sampoorna Poshana Plus’ to provide nutritious food to pregnant women, lactating  mothers and children in the state.
  8.     The Indian arm of Fitch Ratings, India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has projected India’s FY21 GDP growth forecast at -11.8% as against its earlier prediction of -5.3%. The rating agency   estimates the economic loss in FY21 to be Rs 18.44 lakh crore.

  10.     Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Patrika Gate in Jaipur, Rajasthan through video conference. The Patrika Gate was built by the Patrika group of Newspapers on the Jawaharlal  Nehru Marg in Jaipur.
  11.    India, Australia and France held a dialogue for the first time under a trilateral framework. The   focus of the dialogue was on possibility of enhancing maritime security cooperation between the  three countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
  12.    Recently, Korean Peninsula and Japan were hit by two typhoons named Maysak and Haishen.
  13.  Zvezda, a research and development enterprise, has started manufacturing space suits for Indian  astronauts, who are likely to be part of the Gaganyaan mission.
  14.  Newly discovered deep seabed channels beneath Thwaites Glacier in West Antarctica may be  the pathway for warm ocean water to melt the underside of the ice.
