- The Parliament Standing Committee is going to be held today regarding the rising prices. This meeting will be held by the Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas Affairs. The committee has called officials of the Ministry of Petroleum and IOC, BPCL, and HPCL. Along with this, the officials of GAIL have also been called to the meeting.
- The government on Wednesday said edible oil prices have started falling in the past one month, and the quantum of decline is nearly 20 per cent in some cases.
- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide a $484 million loan (over ₹ 3,500 crore) to improve transport connectivity and facilitate industrial development in the Chennai-Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor (CKIC) in Tamil Nadu.
