  1. Odisha reported 3650 more COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours while a total of 69480 samples were tested in the state, yesterday
  2. The patriotic poem ‘Bande Utkala Janani’, written by Kantakabi Laxmikant Mohapatra, will be taught to Class IX and X students from the 2021-22 academic session. In a notification, the Board of Secondary Education stated ‘Bande Utkala Janani’ will be included in the First Language Odia (FLO) syllabus for both Class IX and X.

  5. Union Cabinet on 23 June approved allocation of additional foodgrain under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, Phase IV for another period of five months from July to Nov 2021. Under it, 5 Kg  foodgrains per person per month free of cost will be given to the beneficiaries covered under National Food Security Act .
