  9. Death toll in Bangladesh factory fire goes up to 52 and 25 others injured as a juice factory caught fire at Rupganj in Narayanganj near Dhaka. The fire broke out in the six-storey building late on 08 Jul (Thursday) evening. The cause of the fire is not known yet.

The Olympics will take place without spectators in the host city Tokyo as a resurgent coronavirus forced Japan to declare the COVID State of Emergency in the capital that will run throughout the event.
