  1. The Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has ordered the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) to ban internet games like PubG and Freefire. The action follows an instruction by the High Court of Bangladesh to shut down the dangerous and harmful apps and softwares on the internet for three months.

  10. The Adani Group has announced prices for procuring apple for its CA stores. Compared to last year, the prices announced for premium apple are around 20 per cent less this time – the opening price for the premium apple last year was Rs 88 per kg. This time, it is Rs 72. The apple growers are not happy and some are even threatening to boycott the corporate giant.

  16. With only around 14 per cent of the adult population stands fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 to date in the country, the Centre has asked all the states to accelerate the administration of the second dose.

In Odisha, of the targeted 3.1 crore adult population, a total of over 49.71 lakh have been administered with two doses, whereas a total of 1.59 cr have been partially inoculated (taken only 1 dose). The data shows when over 51 per cent of the targeted adult population in the State have been partially immunised, only over 16 per cent stands fully vaccinated.
