- Guidelines on financial compensation for those who died after contracting the coronavirus must be submitted by September 23, the Supreme Court told the government today.

- This new television Sansad TV channel has been created after merging Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The merger was officially announced by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat office in March. PM Narendra Modi will launch Sansad TV on September 15, i.e. Friday
- Covaxin has been authorised for emergency use in India and has also been exported to several countries but it has not yet received an emergency use listing from the World Health Organisation.
