  10. Former Chief Secretary of Odisha Rabi Narayan Das passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. He was in his 80s. Das served as the Chief Secretary of the state during the regime of both JB Patnaik and Biju Patnaik between December 1, 1992 and September 30, 1995. He was the 28th Chief Secretary of the state.

Briefing mediapersons, State Election Commission (SEC) Secretary Rabindra Nath Sahu today said the ensuing Panchayat Polls will not be held in seven GPs this time as they have been included in NACs.
