  1. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday announced that a medical college and hospital will be set up in the underdeveloped Kandhamal district with an investment of Rs 504 crore. Around 100 students will be enrolled in the medical college every year, while the hospital will have 500 beds, the chief minister said.

  13. : The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) today cleared eight projects worth Rs 1,872.11 crore in steel, food processing and petroleum sectors.
  14. The Cabinet also approved 550 new projects under the Biju Setu Yojana scheme in addition to completion of 396 ongoing projects. The scheme will be implemented with an outlay of Rs 5,182 crore over a period of three years i.e. from 2021-22 to 2023-24. The Rural Development Department will execute the projects.
