  1. IPS officer Sunil Kumar Bansal today took charge as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Odisha. Bansal assumed charge as the chief of the Odisha Police at the State Police Headquarters, Cuttack by receiving the guard of honour.

  15. As per the Reserve Bank of India directive issued in June, the banking customers would be required to pay `21 per transaction with effect from January 1, 2022 for transactions beyond the free permissible limit. Presently, banks are allowed to charge `20 for such transactions through ATMs.
  16. The Centre Friday released `830.85 crore to Odisha to expedite the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the state. According to the Union Jal Shakti Ministry, Odisha plans to become ‘Har Ghar Jal’ state in 2024.
