  1. India has reported 3,377 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 4,30,72,176. According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases increased to 17,801, with 821 new active cases in a 24-hour time span.
  2. High Certificate Examination (HSC), State Open School Certificate Examination and Madhyama (Sanskrit) Exam–began at 8 am .While duration of the exams is 8 am-10 am, timing of some of examinations is less than two hours and will be completed by 9 am or 9.30 am. Only Mathematics paper will continue till 10.15 am.
  3. The State’s Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to leave for New Delhi on a five-day trip. Patnaik will return to Bhubaneswar on May 3. Official sources said Patnaik will leave for the National Capital in a special flight in the afternoon on May 29.

  11. Google began building its largest campus outside of its US headquarters in Hyderabad's Gachibowli. The 3 million-square- foot building will have a capacity to employ 14,000 people and is located on a 7.3-acre site. Google had acquired the land in 2019 after an agreement was signed between Google and Telangana's IT Minister KT Rama Rao in 2015.
