- The rupee plunged 58 paise to close at an alltime low of 81.67 against the US dollar Monday as the strengthening of the dollar overseas and risk-averse sentiment among investors weighed on the local unit.
- Anjana Mishra, the victim of a high profile gangrape case, Monday threatened to take legal action against the makers of a web series based on Mishra’s life without her permission. Mishra told media that she came to know about the making of the web series ‘Baranga 1999’ from reports in newspapers.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Uday Umesh Lalit said this when former BJP leader K N Govindacharya's counsel argued that the copyright of apex court proceedings cannot be surrendered to private platforms like YouTube.
