  1. The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended appointment of Justice Jaswant Singh as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court. The collegium headed by Chief Justice UU Lalit took the decision in its meeting held September 28
  2. With an aim to help out students preparing for civil service examinations at state and national-levels, the state Cabinet Friday decided to change the pattern of Odisha Civil Services Examination at par with the civil services examination conducted by UPSC
  3. In Odisha Civil Services Examination as per the decision, out of total 2000 marks, 1750 is for written tests and 250 is for personality test. The written test includes Odia, English, Essay, General Studies-I, II, III, IV and Optional Subject Paper-I & Paper-II. All written test papers consist of 250 marks.
