World Milk Day

The World Milk Day is observed  on Ist June by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. It celebrates the dairy sector and highlight the importance of milk products as a global food. Every year since June 1, 2000, this day is celebrated with various events and programs aimed to highlight the importance of milk.

The theme for the year 2021

This year, the theme for World Milk Day will focus on 'sustainability in the dairy sector’ along with empowering the environment, nutrition, and socio-economic. The organization also aims to re-introduce dairy farming to the world, by helping to create a low-carbon future for dairy.

Significance

The main important objective behind world Milk Day is to make people aware of the importance of milk and dairy products in our lives. Apart from being a great source of nutrition, milk and dairy products are also a means of livelihood The market of dairy products is a very important component of the global economy. The day also holds special importance for India as it is one of the largest producers of milk across the world.


Global Day of Parents

On September 17, 2012, the UN publicly declared that the Global Day of Parents would be held annually on June 1. It is  to be observed annually in honour of parents throughout the world.

Theme of Global Parents Day- “Appreciate all parents throughout the world” is the theme of global parents day 2021. This theme is the endorsement of parents struggles and sacrifices towards their children across the world.

People all over the world have the opportunity to appreciate parents and parental figures for the vital role they play in the development of families.

Parents are a beacon of a child’s life. They lay the foundation for children, and nurture and equip them with the skills that are necessary throughout life. Parents protect their children and make countless selfless sacrifices to ensure their growth.

On Global Parents Day, children express their gratitude to their parents for all that they have done for them. Really, our relationship with our parents is the most important and true bond.  Those of us who have a friendship with our parents and are able to have a healthy relationship based on trust and respect rather than authority or strict guardianship are lucky.  It is truly a blessing to have good parents.
