World Rabies Day

World Rabies Day is observed on 28 September every year to make people aware of the prevention regarding rabies and to highlight the progress in defeating this horrifying disease. Rabies is a fatal but preventable viral disease. It can spread to people and pets if they are bitten or scratched by a rabid animal. In the United States, rabies is mostly found in wild animals like bats, raccoons, skunks, and foxes.

World Rabies Day is the first awareness programme to dedicate for rabies prevention. It helps individuals, civil society, and governments to connect and share their work. World Rabies Day is a great way towards the elimination of rabies deaths by 2030
