ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ମହିଳା ଦିବସ 

ସମଗ୍ର ବିଶ୍ୱରେ ମହିଳା ଦିବସ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ 8 ରେ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଏ | ଏହି ଦିନଟି ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗୀକୃତ, ଯାହାକି ସେମାନେ ନିଜ ଜୀବନକୁ ଉନ୍ନତ କରିବା ସହ ସର୍ବଭାରତୀୟ ସ୍ତରରେ ନେଇଥିବା ଐତିହାସିକ ପଦକ୍ଷେପଗୁଡିକୁ ମନେପକାଇ  ଦିଏ  | ଏହାମଧ୍ୟ  “ବିଶ୍ଵର ମହିଳା ଏବଂ ବାଳିକାମାନଙ୍କ ଅବଦାନକୁ ଜାଣିବା  ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଜଳବାୟୁ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଏବଂ ସଙ୍କଟ ହ୍ରାସ ଏବଂ ସେ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ଦ୍ଵାରା  ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅଧିକ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ଗଠନ ପାଇଁ ଦାୟିତ୍ ନେଉଛନ୍ତି” |

ଥିମ୍

ଜାତିସଂଘ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, ଅନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ମହିଳା ଦିବସ, 2022 (IWD 2022) ର ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ହେଉଛି ‘ଆଜି ଲିଙ୍ଗଗତ ସମାନତା’  ଆସନ୍ତାକାଲି ପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ |

ଜାତୀୟ, ଜାତି, ଭାଷା, ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ, ଅର୍ଥନୈତିକ କିମ୍ବା ରଣଇତିକ ବିଭାଜନକୁ ବିଚାର ନ ନେଇ  ମହିଳାମାଙ୍କୁ  ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସଫଳତା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ କରାଇବା |

ଇତିହାସ:

 1975 ରେ, ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ମହିଳା ବର୍ଷରେ, ମିଳିତ ଜାତିସଂଘ 8 ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚକୁ ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ମହିଳା ଦିବସ ଭାବରେ ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ କଲା | ଦୁଇ ବର୍ଷ ପରେ, ଡିସେମ୍ବର 1977 ରେ, ସାଧାରଣ ସଭା ଏକ ସଂକଳ୍ପ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି 'ମହିଳା ଅଧିକାର ତଥା ଆନ୍ତର୍ଜାତୀୟ ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ମିଳିତ ଜାତିସଂଘର ଦିନ'  ବା ଯେ କୌଣସି  ଦିନ ସଦସ୍ୟ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଜାତୀୟ ପରମ୍ପରା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ପାଳନ କରିବେ ବୋଲି ଘୋଷଣା କରିଥିଲେ।

ଜଳବାୟୁ ସଙ୍କଟ ଏବଂ ବିପର୍ଯ୍ୟୟ ବିପଦ ହ୍ରାସ ପରିପ୍ରେକ୍ଷୀରେ ଲିଙ୍ଗଗତ ସମାନତାକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାଧିକାର ଦେବା ଏକବିଂଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀରଏକ ଆହ୍ଵାନ | ମହିଳାମାନେ ପୁରୁଷଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଜଳବାୟୁ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଅଧିକ ଅସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ଭାବରେ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ଵର ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଗରିବ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ସମ୍ପଦ ଉପରେ ଅଧିକ ନିର୍ଭରଶୀଳ, ଯାହା ଜଳବାୟୁ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଉପରେ ଅଧିକ ବିପଦ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ |

ଏହି ସମୟରେ, ମହିଳା ଏବଂ ବାଳିକାମାନେ ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଏବଂ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ନେତା ଏବଂ ଜଳବାୟୁ ଆଡାପ୍ଟେସନ୍ ଏବଂ ହ୍ରାସ ପାଇଁ ଚେଞ୍ଜମେକର୍ ର ଭୂମିକା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି | ସେମାନେ ସମଗ୍ର ବିଶ୍ୱରେ ସ୍ଥିରତା ପ୍ରୟାସରେ ଜଡିତ, ଏବଂ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣ ଏବଂ ନେତୃତ୍ୱ ଅଧିକ ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ ଜଳବାୟୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ଫଳାଫଳ ଦେଇଥାଏ | ଲିଙ୍ଗଗତ ସମାନତା ବିନା ଆଜି, ଏକ ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ, ଏବଂ ସମାନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ, ଆମ ପାଖରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବ ନାହିଁ |

ଏହି ଦିନ, ଆମେ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ମାନିତ କରୁ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆମ ଜୀବନକୁ କିଛି ମାତ୍ରାରେ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ମା, ପତ୍ନୀ, ଭଉଣୀ କିମ୍ବା ବନ୍ଧୁ ଭାବରେ | ଏହି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ ଦିନରେ ଦେଶର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରୁ ଆସିଥିବା ମହିଳାମାନେ ରାଲି, ଆଲୋଚନା ଏବଂ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଅଂଶଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି | ଏହି ଦିନ ସମାଜରେ ଲିଙ୍ଗଗତ ସମାନତା ଉପରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଧ୍ୟାନ ଦେଇଥାଏ |

“ମହିଳାମାନେ କଦାପି ଦୁର୍ବଳ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ଵର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ କରିଛନ୍ତି | ମହିଳା ଦିବସରେ ସମସ୍ତ ମହିଳାଙ୍କୁ ହାର୍ଦ୍ଦିକ ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛା। ”

International Women’s Day 2022

Women’s Day is celebrated every year around the world on March 8. It is a day dedicated to women, a symbolic reminder of the historic journey they have taken globally to better their lives. It attempts to recognise the “contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, to build a more sustainable future for all”.

Theme

According to UN Women, the theme for International Women’s Day, 2022 (IWD 2022) is ‘Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow’.

It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

History:

 In 1975, during the International Women’s Year, the United Nations began celebrating 8 March as International Women’s Day. Two years later, in December 1977, the General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming a United Nations Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace to be observed on any day of the year by Member States, in accordance with their historical and national traditions.

Advancing gender equality in the context of the climate crisis and disaster risk reduction is one of the greatest global challenges of the 21st century. Women are increasingly being recognized as more vulnerable to climate change impacts than men, as they constitute the majority of the world’s poor and are more dependent on the natural resources which climate change threatens the most.
