Historical Events - July 15.

1662: At the second meeting, Sir Robert Moray announced that the King approved of the gatherings, and a royal charter was signed on 15 July 1662 which created the “RoyalSociety of London”, with Lord Brouncker serving as the first president.

1910: Emil Kraepelin gave a name to Alzheimer’s disease, naming it after his colleague Alois Alzheimer. 

1916: Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace company, started today.

1926: The first motor bus route started and ran between Afghan Church and Crawford Market, Mumbai.

1962: Algeria became part of the Arab League.

1979: Morarji Desai resigned as Prime Minister of India.

1984: Punjab was declared a terrorism-affected area after the Sikh community was disturbed in Punjab.

2000: All Indian soldiers hostage freed by military operations in Sierra Leone.

2011: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched GSAT-12A from Sriharikota through PSLV C-17.
