1854: Official use of the Hinomaru flag by Japanese ships.

1914: World War I – Germany invades Belgium. In response, the United Kingdom declared war on Germany. The United States declared itself neutral.

1956: India’s sixth nuclear power plant, Apsara, was commissioned at Bhabha Atomic Power Station, Turbhe.
