- India's total tally of COVID-19 cases surged to 3,04,11,634 with 48,786 new infections being reported in a day, while the recoveries have crossed 2.94 crores, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.

- Odisha reported 2640 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours while a total of 63695 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Ratio (TPR) for the day stood at 4.1%. Balasore district registered highest 397 new infections, followed by Khurda (365) and Cuttack (266).
- India has 37,566 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday. India reported less than 40,000 daily new cases after 102 days.
