1. In Odisha 3456 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours while 65845 samples were tested yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 5.2%. Khurda district reported highest 499 fresh infections followed by Cuttack (480) and Puri (289).
2. COVID-19 infections on a decline, India recorded 42,640 new cases on Tuesday with the daily count dropping below the 50,000-mark after 91 days. The cumulative death count stands at 3,89,302, with 1,167 fresh fatalities reported yesterday.

1. India recorded 42,640 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest since March 23, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday.As it continued with a declining trend of coronavirus infection, the country reported 1,167 deaths. This is the fifth consecutive day in the last two months when the toll has been below the 2,000-mark.

14. From Jul 2021, a higher Tax Deducted At Source (TDS) rate would be applicable for Income Tax Return (ITR) non-filers, according to the Finance Act, 2021. 20. ଦେଶରେ ଦିନକୁ ଦିନ ଫିକା ପଡ଼ି ଆସୁଥିବା ମହାମାରୀ କୋଭିଡ୍‌-୧୯ର ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ଲହର ସଂକ୍ରମଣର ଦୈନିକ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ତଳମୁହାଁ ହୋଇଚାଲିବା ସହ ଲଗାତାର ଷଷ୍ଠ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ସୋମବାର ୬୦ ହଜାର ପାଖାପାଖି ରହିଛି।ତଳମୁହାଁ ହୋଇଚାଲିବା ସହ ଲଗାତାର ଷଷ୍ଠ ଦିନ ପାଇଁ ସୋମବାର ୬୦ ହଜାର ପାଖାପାଖି ରହିଛି।

1.    ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ  ୨୪  ଘଂଟାରେ  ଆଉ ୩ ହଜାର ୫୭୭ ନୂଆ ସଂକ୍ରମିତ ଚିହ୍ନଟ । କ୍ୱାରେଣ୍ଟାଇନ୍ରୁ ୨୦୩୯ ଓ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ୧୫୩୮ କରୋନା ସଂକ୍ରମିତ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି

In Bangalore, petrol is Rs 100.47/litre and diesel is selling at Rs 93.26 per litre.

1. India recorded 62,480 new COVID-19 infections on Friday, besides 1,587 more fatalities, which took the country's total tally to above 2.97 crore cases and 3.83 lakh deaths, according to the Union health ministry.
2. Odisha today witnessed a slight drop in its daily COVID-19 cases as 3,427  persons tested positive for the virus in last 24 hours. Yesterday, 3,806 infections were reported in the state. With the fresh cases, the state’s total caseload surged to 8,73,925.Of fresh COVID cases in all 30 districts, 1,954 are quarantine cases and remaining 1,473 local contact cases.

Legendary Indian sprinter Milkha Singh passed away Friday night at the age of 91.The 1958 Commonwealth Games champion and 1960 Rome Olympian had contracted Covid-19 30 days ago and had lost his wife, the former Indian national women’s volleyball team captain Nirmal Milkha Singh five days ago. The 91-year-old had contracted the virus last month. His wife, Nirmal Milkha Singh, had succumbed to the virus on June 13.
