- The Odisha government Monday enhanced the pre-matriculation scholarships for the students belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) communities. The pre-matriculation scholarship for boy students has been increased to `950 from `750. Similarly, the girl boarders will now be entitled to get `1,000 from `800.
- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will replace Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as Chancellor of all the state-run health, agricultural, and animal & fishery sciences universities. A formal decision was taken Monday by the state Cabinet to replace the Governor with the Chief Minister as the visitor of private universities operating in the state.
- Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will embark on his second foreign trip since assuming office in March 2005, this month. - ମତଦାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରକୁ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ୧୮ କିମି ଚାଲିଲେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାଚନ କମିଶନର । କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ନିର୍ବାଚନ କମିଶନ ରାଜୀବ କୁମାର ଉତ୍ତରଖାଣ୍ଡର ଏକ ମତଦାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରରେ ପହଁଚିବାକୁ ୧୮ କିମି ଯାଏଁ ପାଦରେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଏହି ମତଦାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଚମୋଲୀ ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଏକ ପାହାଡିଆ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ରହିଛି । ତେବେ ସିଇସି ନିଜେ ବୁଥ୍ ଯାଏଁ ଯିବାକୁ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଇଥିଲେ ଓ ଚାଲିଚାଲି ଯାଇଥିଲେ ।
