 Governor and Chancellor of Odisha universities Ganeshi Lal has appointed Sabita Pradhan as the first Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Odia University at Satyabadi in Puri. Pradhan, currently working as a professor of Odia at Visva Bharati University in Shantiniketan, has been appointed as the VC of the university for a period of two years.

Dengue cases in Odisha have crossed 2,100-mark, an official said Thursday. This year, the state has reported 50 per cent more dengue cases than the previous year. While the state had reported 1,441 cases last year, this year the number has crossed 2,100.

The craftsmen will be provided a subsidised loan of Rs 1 lakh in the first tranche, and another Rs 2 lakh in the second tranche, at a concessional interest rate of 5%.The scheme will be launched with a financial outlay of Rs 13,000 crores on Vishwakarma Jayanti on September 17.

The Union Cabinet also approved the extension Digital India project with an outlay of Rs 14,903 crore. The extended programme aims to re-skill and up-skill 6.25 lakh IT professionals and train another 2.65 lakh persons in information security.

ଶିଳ୍ପପତି ଗୌତମ ଆଦାନିଙ୍କ ସଂସ୍ଥା ଆଦାନି ଗ୍ରୁପ୍ ବିରୋଧରେ ଆମେରିକାର ହିଣ୍ଡେନ୍‌ବର୍ଗ ରିସର୍ଚ୍ଚ ଯେଉଁ ସଙ୍ଗିନ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଆଣିଥିଲା ତାହାର ତଦନ୍ତ ଶେଷ କରିବା ଲାଗି ସୁପ୍ରିମ୍‌ କୋର୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଭାରତୀୟ ପ୍ରତିଭୂତି ଓ ବିନିମୟ ବୋର୍ଡ (ସେବି) ଆଉ ୧୫ ଦିନ ସମୟ ମାଗିଛି।

The Supreme Court has issued a statement alerting about a social media post that is being circulated falsely quoting the Chief Justice of India. The fake post uses the image of CJI DY Chandrachud with a false quote invoking the public to protest against the authorities.

The Public Relations Office of the Supreme Court, in its statement, said, the social media post is fake, ill-intended and mischievous.
