- The State government Friday appointed IAS officer Usha Padhee as principal secretary to Skill Development and Technical Education (SD&TE) department. Padhee, who has returned from Central deputation, has been allowed to remain in additional charge as principal secretary of Commerce and Transport department, as per a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance department.

- ଯୁକ୍ତ ତିନି ଓ ପିଜିରେ ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ ନୀତି ଆଣିବାକୁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ଯୋଜନା କରୁଛନ୍ତି । ଏ ନେଇ ଆଜି ଲୋକସେବା ଭବନରେ ଉଚ୍ଚଶିକ୍ଷା ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ରୋହିତ ପୂଜାରୀଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ବୈଠକ ବସିଥିଲା । ବୈଠକରେ ଷ୍ଟାର୍ଟଅପ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଓଁକାର ରାୟ, ବିଦେଶୀ କମ୍ପାନୀ ଫ୍ରଷ୍ଟ ଆଣ୍ଡ ସଲିଭେନ କର୍ମକର୍ତ୍ତା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ ।

- ଲୋକସଭା ଓ ବିଧାନସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀଙ୍କ ବୟସ ସୀମା ହ୍ରାସ କରିବାକୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାର ବିଚାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଭାରତୀୟ ସମ୍ବିଧାନର ଧାରା ୮୪ (ଖ) ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଏହା ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରାଯାଇଛି ଯେ ଲୋକସଭା ନିର୍ବାଚନରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ସର୍ବନିମ୍ନ ବୟସ ୨୫ ବର୍ଷ ହେବା ଉଚିତ। ତେବେ ଦେଶର ୬୫ ପ୍ରତିଶତ ଯୁବ ଜନସଂଖ୍ୟାକୁ ଧ୍ୟାନରେ ରଖି କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାର ଏହି ବୟସ ସୀମାକୁ ୧୮ ବର୍ଷକୁ ହ୍ରାସ କରିବାକୁ ଚିନ୍ତା କରୁଛନ୍ତି।
