- Veteran actor Biraj Dash died today at a private hospital here after a prolonged illness. He was 63. Dash was suffering from lungs cancer and had been admitted to the private hospital for past four months.
- India reported at least 2,124 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the total tally of coronavirus cases to 4,31,42,192, while the active cases increased to 14,971, according to the Union Health Ministry.
- The Delhi government has brought in a scheme under which financial incentive will be provided to those buying electric cycles. According to the scheme guidelines, e-cycle buyers will get a purchase incentive of 25 per cent of the price with a cap of maximum ₹ 5,500 a piece. An additional incentive of ₹ 2,000 will be given to the first 1,000 individual owners of e-cycles.
- A Jawaharlal Nehru statue was vandalised in Madhya Pradesh's Satna. A video circulating on social media showed a dozen people trying to damage the statue with sticks and rocks. One of them even tries to break the statue using a hammer.

- କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ ଏଜେନ୍ସିକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରି ବିଜେପି ରାଜ୍ୟର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ହସ୍ତକ୍ଷେପ କରୁଥିବା ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଛନ୍ତି ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମମତା ବାନାର୍ଜୀ। ବିଜେପି ନେତୃତ୍ୱାଧୀନ ସରକାର ଦେଶର ସଙ୍ଘୀୟ ଢ଼ାଞ୍ଚାକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରୁଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲିି ସୋମବାର ଏକ ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ସମ୍ମିଳନୀରେ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଦିଦି।
- ଦେଶର ସବୁଠ ବଡ଼ ଟିକା କମ୍ପାନି ସେରମ ଇନଷ୍ଟିଚ୍ୟୁଟର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅଦର ପୁନାଓ୍ବାଲା କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ତାଙ୍କ କମ୍ପାନି ପ୍ରାୟ ୨୦ କୋଟି ଡୋଜ୍ କୋଭିଡ୍ ଟିକା ନଷ୍ଟ କରିବାକୁ ବିଚାର କରୁଛି । କାରଣ ଦେଶରେ କୋଭିଡ ଟିକାର ଚାହିଦା କମିଥିବାବେଳେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ପରିମାଣରେ ଟିକା ମହଜୁଦ ରହିଛି । ଏସବୁ ଟିକାକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରାଯିବ କାରଣ ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଏକ୍ସପାରି ତାରିଖ ଆସନ୍ତା ଅଗଷ୍ଟ-ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ମାସ ରେ ପଡ଼ିବ ।
- ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କିଷାନ ସମ୍ମାନ ନିଦ୍ଧି ଯୋଜନା ଅନ୍ୟତମ। ଏହି ଯୋଜନା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ୬ ହଜାର ଟଙ୍କା ଦିଆଯାଏ। ଏହି ରାଶି ୪ ମାସ ବ୍ୟବଧାନରେ ୩ଟି କିସ୍ତିରେ ମିଳିଥାଏ। ଥରକେ ୨ ହଜାର ଲେଖାଏ ୩ଟି କିସ୍ତିରେ ୬ ହଜାର ଟଙ୍କା କୃଷକଙ୍କୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ସରକାର ଯୋଗାଇ ଦେଇଥାନ୍ତି। ପିଏମ୍ କିଷାନ ଯୋଜନାର ୧୧ତମ କିସ୍ତିର ୨ ହଜାର ଟଙ୍କା ମେ ୩୧ ତାରିଖରେ ମିଳିବ।

- ଆସନ୍ତା ଜୁନ୍-ଜୁଲାଇ ମାସରେ ’ହର ଘର ଦସ୍ତକ ଅଭିଯାନ-୨’କୁ ଦୁଇମାସ ଧରି ବ୍ୟାପକ ଭାବେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ କରାଯିବା ଲାଗି ସେମାନେ ଯୋଜନା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ, ‘ହର ଘର ଦସ୍ତକ ୨.୦’ ଅଭିଯାନର ମୂଳ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ହେଲା – ଟିକାକରଣ କରାଯିବା ଏବଂ ସମସ୍ତ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଥମ, ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଏବଂ ବୁଷ୍ଟର ଡୋଜ୍ ଟିକା ପ୍ରଦାନ ଘର ଘର ବୁଲି ଅଭିଯାନ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ସଂପାଦନ କରିବା । ବିଶେଷକରି ବୃଦ୍ଧ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘରେ ଏହି ଅଭିଯାନ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଟିକାକରଣ କରାଯାଇପାରିବ ।
- ଶୁକ୍ରବାର ନବଜୋତ ସିଂହ ସିଧୁ ପଟିଆଲାସ୍ଥିତ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଦୌରାଜଜ୍ କୋର୍ଟରେ ଆତ୍ମସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା ପରେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପଟିଆଲାର କେନ୍ଦ୍ରୀୟ କାରାଗାରକୁ ପଠାଇଦିଆଯାଇଛି।
