- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday allayed fears that private firms might grab farmers' land under a new contract farming law enacted by the Centre, as he listened to success stories about benefits of the new Acts while interacting with peasants from seven states.

- ଏପ୍ରିଲ୍ ୧ରେ ପ୍ରଥମ କରୋନା ସଂକ୍ରମିତ ଧରାବୀରୁ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହେବା ପରେ ମୁମ୍ବାଇ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ପାଇଁ ଚିନ୍ତା ବହୁଗୁଣିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। କାରଣ ଧରାବୀ ଭଳି ଜନଗହଳି ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବସ୍ତିରେ କରୋନାକୁ ରୋକିବା ଏକ ପ୍ରକାର ଅସମ୍ଭବ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଉଥିଲା। ଦୀର୍ଘ ୮ ମାସର ସଂଘର୍ଷ ପରେ ଆଜି ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ଜଣେ ହେଲେ ବି କରୋନା ସଂକ୍ରମିତ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହୋଇନଥିବା ନେଇ ଜଣେ ବିଏମସି ଅଧିକାରୀ ପିଟିଆଇକୁ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି।
- ୪୮ ବର୍ଷୀୟ ନେଦୁମଙ୍ଗଦ କେରଳର ମଲଂକରା ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ରେ ଗାଧୋଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ବୁଡ଼ି ଯାଇଥିଲେ। ଡ୍ୟାମ ଗଭୀର ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ବାହାରକୁ ଆସିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରି ସେ ବିଫଳ ହୋଇଥିବା ସୂଚନା ମିଳିଛି। ଶେଷରେ ଡ୍ୟାମ ଭିତରେ ଶେଷ ନିସ୍ବାଶ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଥିଲେ ଅନୀଲ।

- ଚାଷୀମାନଙ୍କ ସୁବିଧା ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ସରକାର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଷଷ୍ଠ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିବାକୁ ଡାକିଛନ୍ତି। ତେବେ ସର୍ବନିମ୍ନ ସହାୟକ ମୂଲ୍ୟ (ଏମ୍ଏସ୍ପି) ନେଇ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଆଭିମୁଖ୍ୟ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଥିବାରୁ ଏ ବାବଦରେ ନୂଆ ଦାବି ନ ରଖିବାକୁ ସରକାର ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଅନ୍ୟପକ୍ଷରେ ଚାଷୀ ସଂଗଠନମାନେ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଲୋଚନା ପାଇଁ ରାଜି ନାହାନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ନୂଆ ଏଜେଣ୍ଡା ନ ଆଣିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ସହ କୌଣସି କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ହୋଇପାରିବନି ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଇଛି। ନୂଆ କୃଷି ଆଇନକୁ ବିରୋଧ କରି ଆଜି ଆଉ ଏକ ଚାଷୀ ସଂଗଠନ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସୁପ୍ରିମ୍ କୋର୍ଟରେ ମାମଲା ଦାଏର କରାଯାଇଛି।

- ଭାରତ-ପ୍ରଶାନ୍ତ ମହାସାଗରୀୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ସହଯୋଗଭିତ୍ତିକ ନୌଶକ୍ତି କ୍ଷମତା ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଁ ଗଠିତ ଚତୁର୍ଦେଶୀୟ(ଆମେରିକା-ଜାପାନ-ଭାରତ-ଅଷ୍ଟ୍ରେଲିଆ) ମେଣ୍ଟ(କ୍ବାଡ୍)ର ଅନ୍ୟ ତିନି ମୂଳ ବିନ୍ଧାଣୀ ଭାରତର ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ, ଜାପାନର ପ୍ରାକ୍ତନ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସିଞ୍ଜୋ ଆବେ ଓ ଅଷ୍ଟ୍ରେଲିଆ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସ୍କଟ୍ ମରିସନ୍ଙ୍କୁ ଆମେରିକା ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଡୋନାଲ୍ଡ ଟ୍ରମ୍ପ୍ ଆମେରିକାର ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ସମ୍ମାନ ‘ଲିଜନ୍ ଅଫ୍ ମେରିଟ୍’ରେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
- ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆଲିଗଡ଼ ମୁସ୍ଲିମ ବିଶ୍ବବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ କ୍ୟାମ୍ପସକୁ ‘ମିନି ଇଣ୍ଡିଆ’ ଭାବେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରିବା ସହ ଏହି ବିଶ୍ବବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ନାରୀ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ନାରୀ ସଶକ୍ତିକରଣ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଏକ ମାଇଲଖୁଣ୍ଟ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିପାରିଛି ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି। ବିଗତ ପାଞ୍ଚ ଦଶନ୍ଧି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୋଦୀ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଭାବେ ଆଲିଗଡ଼ ମୁସ୍ଲିମ ବିଶ୍ବବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ଏହା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ୧୯୬୪ରେ ଲାଲ୍ ବାହାଦୁର ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି ହୋଇଥିଲେ।
