- India has reported 62,224 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, slightly higher that yesterday's figures. The death count climbed to 3,79,573 with 2,542 fresh fatalities. With the fresh Covid cases, the country's tally of cases has climbed to over 2.96 crore, as per Union Health Ministry.

- India, witnessing a downward trend in Covid cases, reported the lowest daily spike in infections in 70 days with 84,332 new cases Saturday. India has so far logged 2.93 crore cases of coronavirus.

- ନାଗରିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦ୍ଵିତୀୟ ଡୋଜ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଏକ ପ୍ରୟାସରେ ଶ୍ରୀଲଙ୍କା ଜାପାନକୁ 6,00,000 ଡୋଜ ଆଷ୍ଟ୍ରା ଜେନେଙ୍କା ଟିକା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାକୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଛି। ପଡୋଶୀ ଭାରତର ଉତ୍ପାଦକ ପ୍ରତିଶ୍ରୁତି ଦେଇଥିବା ଷ୍ଟକ୍ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାରେ ବିଫଳ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ଶ୍ରୀଲଙ୍କା ଆଷ୍ଟ୍ରାଜେନେକା ଟିକା ଅଭାବର ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହୋଇଛି। ସେହି ଦେଶରେ ସଙ୍କଟ ହେତୁ ବୁଧବାର ଦିନ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତିଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ ଘୋଷଣା କରିଛି ଯେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଗୋତାଭାୟା ରାଜପକ୍ସା ଜାପାନର ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ୟୋଶିହିଡେ ସୁଗାଙ୍କୁ ଆଷ୍ଟ୍ରା ଜେନେକାର 6,00,000 ଡୋଜ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବାକୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
- କଲିକତା ହାଇକୋର୍ଟ ବୁଧବାର କହିଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ଏହା ପରେ ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମମତା ବାନାର୍ଜୀ ଏବଂ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଆଇନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମଲୋଇ ଘାଟକଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆସନ୍ତା 17 ତାରିଖ ଦିନ ଚାରିଜଣ ନେତା, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତିନିଜଣ ଶାସକ ତୃଣମୂଳ କଂଗ୍ରେସରୁ ଆସିଥିବା ଆଫିଡେଭିଟ୍ ଉପରେ ବିଚାର କରିବେ । (ଟିଏମସି), ନାରଦା ମାମଲାରେ ସିବିଆଇ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଗିରଫ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ସଲିସିଟର-ଜେନେରାଲ ତୁଷାର ମେହେଟ୍ଟା ଏହି ଯୁକ୍ତି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ପରେ ଆପତ୍ତି ଉଠାଇଥିଲେ।

- ଆସାମ କୋଭିଡ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅନାଥ ହୋଇଥିବା ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏବଂ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପତି-ପତ୍ନୀଙ୍କୁ କୋଭିଡଙ୍କୁ ହରାଇଛନ୍ତି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କଲ୍ୟାଣମୂଳକ ଯୋଜନା ପ୍ରଣୟନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଯାହା ଅଗଷ୍ଟ 15 ପୂର୍ବରୁ ସମଗ୍ର ରାଜ୍ୟକୁ ଇନକ୍ୟୁଲେସନ୍ କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ |
