- India reported a total of 67,084 new coronavirus cases on Thursday. According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases declined to 8,92,828.

- India on Wednesday reported a total of 71,365 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country's COVID-19 tally of infections to 4,24,10,976. According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases declined to 8,92,828.
- More than 25,000 people have died by suicide from 2018 to 2020 due to unemployment and bankruptcy, the government informed Wednesday in the Rajya Sabha. The data provided by the Centre said 9,140 people died by suicide due to unemployment while 16,091 perished due to bankruptcy or debts.

- As the state is set to hold the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) Wednesday, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Tuesday said that candidates found indulged in malpractice will be debarred from taking the test again.
